Passenger seat troubles 900

93 960 wagon. the passenger seat will not recline and its stuck in the most forward position. I tried to remove it but was not scuessful. I removed the track bolts and seat belt but could not get it out. I read the FAQ but am still stumped. Also, to those that have removed a seat cover, i can't get the top portion of the seat to move fore or aft, how do i remove the leather cover? When i push or pull the side lever to move it I can feel somthing like a mild thump in the back of the seat about mid shoulder high. ANY help is greatly appreciated.
