Crankcase pressure caused by bad turbo? 700 1988

Just curious if a bad turbo(seals are shot..blowing oil smoke and a little oil coming through on the cold side) can cause crankcase pressure. I never noticed oil "weeping" out of my filler cap before the turbo went south, but now I have a little weeping out. I don't see any physical signs of the oil filler cap being bad(seal looks good), but I guess I'm going to replace it anyway just to see if the problem persists. I haven't driven the car but maybe 10 miles since I found out the turbo seals are shot. I know for a fact the flame trap housing is clean because I just replaced it, so I'm thinking it's something else. Thanks for any info. Also, I'm pondering whether to part out the B230FT/AW71 and going w/ a V8 swap(Ford 302, or maybe a Chevy 350).
