Well the 240 is back from college and has learned some new tricks! ;-)
The OD off light comes on and goes off randomly. The button seems to have
no effect one way or the other and doesnt "feel" like the switch is working
when you press it in.
1) Can you get into the shifter knob to check the switch without destroying
it? I cant find any seam or fasteners that would indicate you can take it apart.
2) Where the heck is the connection to the tranny.. read the cheap manual and
have looked with no luck.
The brake failure light comes on.. the brake pedal seemed to fade if constant
pressure was applied. Now I have bled the brakes.. the back ones a lot. fluid was the color of coke. 8-O... so I will replace the flex lines.
The pedal seems to hold now but the light comes on now and then. Understanding that the thing responds to the "balance switch" located down on the driver's side inner fender... why does it still come on? My next step is the master cyl.... :-(
1) are there rebuild kits available? sources?
2) If i just buy the master cyl. whats a good source? Or can I just
pick up one from my FLAPS and move happily along with a generic one.
my initial adventures with this beast can be seen here.

On the postive note this car has never left anyone on the side of the road it just seems like the PO didnt have a clue on upkeep beyond the minimum level.
Anyway.. any thoughts are welcome!
TIA
