The other day I took my '72 1800e out for a spin. I filled it up with gas and when I went to start the car after doing so, and it wouldn't start (yes, I had to get it towed, and NO, AAA wouldn't send a flatbed). It's not the battery and it is getting spark. The engine has been running fine since I bought the car last June except that there was sometimes a hesitation/bucking somewhere arond 2500 revs and it always took a lot of cranking to start the engine unless it was already warm, sometimes as long as 15-20 seconds. There is also a faint smell of gas in the car and especially in the trunk. Aside from the odor, I thought that these problems were FI related, but I never really bothered to try to fix it.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thank You
Peter
