Hi Everyone,
I've got a 95 945T that does not have any of the normal turbo options that came with earlier years: no "turbo" badge on the tailgate, no factory boost gauge, no eggcrate grille, 15" wheels. I finally found a used grille meant for the 740/940 models with the single headlights (no foglights) and ordered it. It arrived this weekend and when I tried to install it on the 940, the grille was about 1/2" too wide and did not line up with the bottom holes. At first, I thought I had mistakenly gotten the grille intended for the models with foglights, but when I tried it on my 1990 740 (no foglights) it fit perfectly. After some measuring, it looks like the 940 headlights are about 1/4 - 1/2" wider than the 740 lights. Does anyone why the 940 is different? Do I actually need the grille for the model with foglights? It looks like I could make a few modifications to make it fit, but I'd like to get the correct part if it's available.
Also, if I get the IPD boost gauge with the pod mount, will I have difficulty on the installation becuase there is no existing plumbing to work with (no factory gauge).
Thanks in advance.
