Hello Brickers,

I have been working on my cruise control. It works...when it wants to. What happens is that it will set and hold a speed for a while. Then I will feel a loss of speed the a sudden surge then it kicks out. I can then hit the set speed button and it will usually grab hold at the new set speed for a few seconds or sometimes for several miles. Then the whole problem seems to start all over again. Here is the other problem when it kicks out the resume does not work. If I cancel it by hitting the clutch or brake then the resume does work. So I am thinking that it must be loosing power or has a short somewhere.

I have had this car for over 2.5 years and the cruise did not work until about 2 weeks ago. I spent some time adjusting the switches and replaceing vacuum hoses. Now that I have it sort of working I want to get it fixed up.
