This coming weekend I'm finally going to tackle replacing my fuel pre-pump. Could use some advise with an annoying issue.
I have been spraying the fuel line clamps with a penetrant for a couple of weeks now in an attempt to free them up. The fuel-out line clamp has a phillips head screw that will not move and seems to want to strip as soon as I apply any real torque. My real concern is breaking the sending unit fuel pipe in an attempt to get the clamp off. Sending units = real $$$
My question is what should I use to remove this clamp safely? Any thoughts?? BTW - in the archives someone mentioned using a pair of dikes. Anybody know what those are?
Thanks all,
Jim
