Coolant leak at head and block interface 900 1993

Right front side of head where it meets head leaks coolant when cold. Exact location is 1-2" back from front end of head right where head gasket is. Is there a solution with out replacing the head gasket? Would retorquing the head help? The leak is small and only appears when engine is cold.
