Front Seat Question 200 1987

My driver's seat is pretty worn (200,000 miles) but no holes/tears in the upholstery and the passenger seat is fine. No one ever sits in the passenger seat. Can you swap out the driver's seat for the passenger's seat, or is there something that makes each seat unique for its respective position ? Thanks.
