What compressors can i use? 900 1993

I was curious what AC compressors i could use on my 93 944T? I've heard Diesel Kiki, and Sanden mentioned....are the two interchangable? Can one use a model 508/509/510 Sanden interchanably (assuming they have the right double grooved pulley)? Are the dimensions the same?

Reason I ask is a buddy is taking an almost new compressor off his rod, and it looks like it might fit my 93 (current compressor bolts siezed and a torch most likely ruined it)
