Engine swap frustration 200

Hey guys, I have an 87 240 dl with a blown engine. After about 300,000 miles it finally decided to blow. My question is, will the engine from an 89 240 gl fit in my car??? Both engines look EXACTLY the same. The "engine family" appears to be different ? Mine says KVV 2.3 B5 And the engine in the 89 says HVV 2.3 V5 Can anyone tell me the difference, and if the engine swap can be done ?
