How long before draining Chevron 15w-40 (mineral based) motor oil with a MB-1 filter? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hello folks!

Does anyone know of an appropiate interval to drain Chevron 15w-40 motor oil from their engines. I have decided to go with this oil for the entire summer, and then resume back to mobil 1 thereafter. Should i expect 2,000-2,500 miles out of this oil to be on the safe side? I always use either Amsoil and or Mobil 1 oil filters. Also is this particular class of oil a beeter product over say Shell Rotella 15w-40, and or Mobil Delvac Super 1300 15w-40 motor oil? I read that Chevron mineral based system has some synthetic like processes? What say you? Please all experiences/knowledge would be appreciated!
