As in the fan will run until the battery is dead if I let it.
Is it only coincidence this happened during a cooling system drain, flush and fill? I filled the system with distilled water and idled the engine until it reached normal temp plus another ten minutes. The temp gauge never got abnormally high, but the heater air never did heat up either.
When I shut the engine off the fan kept going for another three hours at which time I disconnected the battery. After sitting overnight the fan will start right up when I connect the battery.
What's going on here?
Is there a better way to fix it than cutting the wires on the fan? :)
Thanks to all for their help.
