flooding like symtoms on 85 740 gld 700 1985

Hi,
I have and 85 740 gle. For the past few months, this car has been
flooding out.
I'll take it in, the mechanic will tell me I've flooded it, replace
the spark plugs and give it back to me. It will start fine for a
while and then it starts
getting harder and harder to start. Pretty soon, it will be flooded
again.
I've replaced the distributor, fuel preasure relay, spark plugs. I've
had
the fuel filter checked and both pumps are working. Anybody have an
idea what
could be causing this to happen? I'm going to replace the thermostat and the
temp sending unit next.
