DASH SWAP??? 200

My 79 264GL has a black dash with some cracks here and there. It is not in bad shap but it could look better. While in the yard the other day I saw a SWEeT dash out of a 83 240. I know that from 80- they changed the way the dash looked around the instrument cluster. The new dashes have the extra spaces for those cool looking gauges. I want to know if it is possible to swap the dash in my 264 with that of a later model 240. They look exactly the same taking in to account the extra gauges. I just wonder if anyone out there knows of some hidden differnces that I'm just not seeing. Thanks to all in advance.
