My overdrive will sometimes work and from this site I've learned of the poor quaility wires. As I was inspecting the wiring, I discovered that the wire hanging below the shifter box but above the tranny is bare where the solinoid and the inside compartment wire connect together. I took them apart and cannot get to the shiftbox dangling wire and my hands will not fit into that small space for me to use electrical tape. Could I put a gob of silcone glue on 3 fingers and coat the wire, mayuse a silcone that will resist heat. Please help. I've also tested my solinoid w/ engine both on and off and had my wife sit in the car and continues push the O/D button and found that when I play whith the wire directly attached to the solinoid it will cause the O/D clicking not to work, so I guess when I hit bumps on the highway thats why my O/D will work and not work.
