95 940turbo, diagnostic code 144 900

EXORCIST needed. 95, 940turbo; 130k car quit, fuel pump replaced(Bosch in tank)/ #1, 167k ,check engine light,drove 15 miles home, 144 code, mechanic replaced ECU/ #2, 300 mls., check engine light, drove 90 mls. home, 144code, mechanic said "nothing wrong"/ #3, 750 mls., check engine light,144 code, ignition power stage replaced, tune up done also(cap,rotor,plugs,fuel filter,air filter)/ #4, 300 mls. engine shut off,check engine light,drove 150mls. home, 144code/ #5 300mls. check eng. light,144code. Started right up & ran fine (all but the last time harder to start) Did notice light "surge" while crusing on highway. Don't really know when surge started. Kind of like intermittent low fuel pressure./ #6 Severe surge & difficult running this morning, thought this was her last breath, but NOW RUNS FINE.?????????????
