I think I have troubles... 700 1989

I have a 89 740T. Here is the sequence of events leading up to my current situation.

Leaky rad hose-Overheats - July 02
Leaky rad hose-Overheats big time- Jan 03
Leaky rad-Overheats - Same day in Jan...

Since the last overheating, it uses water and oil. Discovered oil in the rad overflow tank.
Recently began pinging/knocking at takeoff plus grey smoke...especially under acceleration.
Yesterday...Starter seems to spin, eventually starts. When started...runs exteremely rough like on 3 cylinders. Wants to stall.Big smoke.

Is she all done? Is this all coincidence?
