Motor oil ? 700 1988

Hi, I’ve got a 760 1988 and I am using Mobile 1, 0 W 40 oil, is that a good choice or is it too thin?
The engine has run 151.000 km and it is not using oil, and it runs very well. (I just want to use the best oil, and not use a wrong product.
