heater valve 700 1989

I removed the hose from the heater valve the one after the arrow of flow and I started the engine with the ac at full blast and coolant comes out the valve at full force so I put the hose back and krimped it so the coolant flows slower and the ac cool much better correct me if I am wrong but isn't the valve bad
