NOISY VALVES - 940 GLE WAGON 900

My new (to me) 91 940 GLE wagon has a very pronounced valve noise. I understand the valve lifters are hydraulic and should be self-adjusting. Can anyone tell me what this noise is telling me? I used engine flush at my first oil change to try and remove any gums that may be built-up on the lifters. Anything else I can do? Thanks, Andy
