Hi guys , I was directed to this site by friends who run a Amazon restoration company over here in UK. Its a tech query and on reading many of your archived replies there is a wealth of knowledge on here ( far more than i can get from local Volvo agents anyway!). I dont actually own a 760 though my father is the proud owner of a low mileage 360 glt for 6 troublefree years now. I have what is supposed to be a servo vacuum booster electric pump from a 84/87 760 turbo with the part no412773 and 003 572 cat into the plastic.I ve bought this as a method of boosting low servo pressure on a car with a slightly tuned cam in it . Volvo are the only company that see fit to fit something like this as far as I can see.
Anyway ,to the problem. With the intake/exhaust pipes to the right with the motor facing you what power is required to each outlet? I understand it requires switched positive , permanent negative and permanent live. What difference does the permanent live make to operation? What sort of inches of HG does this unit generate and is it internally sensed or does it require some form of external vacuum switch? Last but no least where do the 2 pipes connect to? The black is vacuum I presume ( unless I ve had it running the wrong way round! ) and does the white require a filter of some kind.
many thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and help out,
Kev
