Welcome to my nightmare!
After 3 or 4 posts on the Brickboard (thank you Don Foster for your replies) and 4+ weeks of my ('87 245 DL) car sitting in 2 different garages to fix an electrical problem, I've got this nagging feeling (no word from the electrician, since I called and spoke with him exactly a week ago) that my car is not going to be looked at/fixed/and/or something horrible has happened to it and they're afraid to tell me. Then again, perhaps when I call today my car will be fixed and I can forget the angst of this past month. But I wanted to post this question before I called.
Can anyone recommend a great/reasonably priced/honest mechanic in Westchester (NY) someone who knows 240s (especially the electric) would respect the word of the "gurus" of the Brickboard if they were stumped and wouldn't treat me differently (or make working on my car a low priority) because I'm female.
(Other women: any suggestions from you especially appreciated)
I want to have a place in mind to tow/drive my car to, before I let them know I am coming for my car... somewhere it will be looked at and fixed.
I figure if the same name comes up thru this board, it might be a good sign.
Thanks in advance for your input,
Michele '87 245 DL 194k
