Hello all: This question is related to my 1995 940. But it should apply to all vehicles with disk brakes. On the outside surface of the rotor, near the center bearing, there is a small raised ridge of metal. I looks like when the rotor was last machined the cutter on the re-surfacing machine didn't not compete it's full cut (path) towards the center of the rotor. Both front rotors on the car are like this. The ridge does cut into the brake pad just a little. QUESTION: Has anyone seen this before? Is this the way a rotor should be? Any comment would be appreciated. ...Thanks...Mr. Tool
