relay question / starting issues 200

What are the metal relays on the passanger side of my 1983 245DL wagon?

I have had a terrible time trying to get this thing to run again, and I am
simply out of ideas. I think I have replaced the Fuel Pump relays, but they
were on the driver side, under the metal kick plate. Did I replace the wrong parts? The green relay was totally corrodid and full of water...but know the batter is dead, so before I jumped it. I wanted to douple check the relay issue.

Also I have replaced both the intake prepump, main pump, fuel filter, 25 amp fuse, and am still getting spark. should I maybe spray a little starting fluid in the intake to help her out? The Brick Board has come to my rescue before, please help!!
