Hi everyone ---
Tonight I just finished servicing the cooling system on my 940. New hoses and thermostat. I flushed the crap out of the system and radiator, and flushed again with water with the engine running. All went well.
Then, as I started the car with the closed system, I noticed a bit of white smoke (steam I guess) coming from the exhaust pipe. When I turned on the heater, the weirdest thing happened...A LOT OF STEAM came from the air vents into my face. Every time I would step on the gas to kick the engine to 2,000 or so RPM, a white cloud would come out. After about 10 minutes, all the steam and funny stuff went away. I also noticed a LOT of water dripping from the tail pipe. The car seems to run normally right now.
So here's my question: Anyone had a similar experience? The weather is nice and warm here in So. California, so I did a pretty messy flush with the garden hose. Did I get water somewhere that would cause that? And why did so much steam come from the vents? Thanks!!
