Hello all,
Great forum!
My problem is fuel related. About a week ago the car started to hiccup during acceleration. I thought that I might have a water problem and added the correct amout of STP. The car ran fine until a cold start produced fuel comming out the exhaust manifold and no start.
I found brickboard and after using the FAQ decided that I had an FPR problem and replaced it a couple of days later. The car started immediately ran rough for a half minute then smoothed out. When I put it in gear it died. Tried to start it again and got more fuel out the exhaust side with no start. Tore the FPR off and re did the replacement. The car ran about two blocks and died with fuel out the exhaust again.
The car is 60 miles from home and a good mechanic. A real pain. Can someone give me some insight to the next step? All the plugs have spark and were not real wet when I removed them. The vacuum line on the FPR doesn't have any apparent leaks. I can hear the main fuel pump power up then shut off shortly. Fuel is getting through the FPR to the return line. I didn't take the injectors out and check as the plugs all looked about the same and I thought it would be odd for all of them to go at the same time.
Thanks in advance, Steve.
