need a donor car for an insane trip...

Greetings!

I'm delivering a car to a guy in Minneapolis from Seattle and once I get there, I won't have wheels. I can't justify flying back if I can find a really cheap or free beater to DRIVE back. I don't care what it is (but I do have a particular fondness for pre-1975 Volvos), but am only concerned that it sorta runs or will run with minimal investment (labor is no problem--- I just don't want to spend $400 on a transmission or something). Considering donating your car? Donate it to me and I'll tumble through the 2000 miles of midwest back to my house and write about the whole thing, updating the Brickboard daily with a steady stream of photos and anecdotes about what I had to do to get this piece of crap back to the Puget Sound. I'm handy with a wrench so I don't care how bad it is, just as long as it might run, and I don't care if it's a scooter, Pinto or dump truck. It's a stupid idea and I'm sorry for even asking, but... can I have your car?

Thanks!
