86-89 Cruise control in a '93? 200

I have a cruise control package from an 86-89 240. All the parts appear to be there, vacuum servo, throttle control, bracket with brake switch and vacuum valve, control unit, vacuum hoses, etc. Will it fit in a 1993 240? The mountings are not the same, there is the knee bolster on the newer car, and the newer system would use the vacuum pump instead of the servo.

I was up to the challenge of figuring out the puzzle with all the right parts (with Bentley's help), but now I'm not sure whether the older system is compatible with the newer car. I bought it on ebay and am afraid it was mis-represented. Oh well. Unfortunately there are not very many u-pull Volvos in my area.
