Removing Oil Pan on '94 965 900 1994

I am replacing the oil pickup tube o-ring. I have drained the coolant; drained the oil; disconnected the steering joint from the connection at the front axle crossmember & dropped the front axle crossmember. I am in process of loosening all the screws on the oil pan to get it loose from the engine.

There are some screws in the center region of the oil pan. Do these need to be removed?

It looks like one screw is under the oil cooler at the oil filter housing. Does the oil filter housing need to be removed also?

It looks like about three bolts fastening the transmission to the engine need to be removed also as it looks like they thread into the oil pan. I'm thinking that I will probably need to support the transmission also if I'm removing these screws. I've got the cantilevered weight of the engine supported at the harmonic balancer, and this could place a lot of stress at the mounting of the trans to the back of the engine with those bottom bolts removed.

Anybody have any experience on doing this job on a 960?
