1985 alternator and oil pressure unit wiring relocation ? 200 1985

The under crank pulley harness leading to the alternator and oil pressure unit is apparently deteriotate causing dash idiot lights to flash when going over a bump . I want to relocate this part of the harness but would like some tips one where to start from , suggetest route , and wire sizes and types (heat resistant - where to get it ) - thanks
