Potential 94 940 turbo purchase - good deal? 900 1994

Think I tracked down a nice 940 turbo sedan for a fair price. Would like to get any feedback I could from the board.

Last weekend I checked it out and drove it. I have a 90 240 now, so I am somewhat familiar with the car. It's at a Volvo dealer but the price is quite fair - I think they might have had it for awhile. Rear wheel drive is not really popular in snow country...

It is a one owner car - older woman - yahoo! Bought in Florida and just brought north in the last couple years. Looks showroom except for a small tear in the carpet and a gouge in the door panel. Body looks brand new! White with tan leather. Think it is a level 2 with the cold weather package and maybe? limited slip.

Car has 101k. A/C repaired, radiator, waterpump, timing belt, front seals and drive belts all just done at 96K. Needs a muffler and there is some oil at the front of the engine - I am hoping it is just residual. They will check it out. Also has 4 Nokian (sp?) snow tires on it. No summer tires.

Questions: Is it the radius bushing that is likely to go in the front end at this many miles or is it a little early? Didn't hear any bushing noise. Is there anything else I should be checking out?

I think it is a pretty good deal. They were asking $6995, but quickly dropped the price to $6295. I'm thinking of offering $6000 if they fix the exhaust. I'll replace the tires with what I want.

What do you think - BB'ers?

Thanks all,
Jim
