Re: When do you have to change the timing Belt on a '93 940 Non-turbo? 900

Hello Everyone,

I'm thinking of buying a 1993 Volvo 940 wagon, non-turbo. I have some questions:

1) At what mileage intervals do you have to change the timing belt on this particular model?

2) This car has 135,000 on it and the radiator has never been replaced. Based upon comments I've received on this web site, I have been advised that I should immediately replace the radiator, regardless of whether it is leaking or not. Besides the radiator, should I also replace the water pump at the same time, assuming it is still the original, as is the radiator?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hugh
