Does anyone know if you can replace the "bustle" trunklid on an '86 or newer 240 with the flatter trunklid from an 81-85 240?

I realize that the latch is different, but was wondering if it can be adapted. Also if the opening is the same size, and if the edges of the flatter lid would match the slope of the rear fenders, etc.
