Hello all, again. My rear brakes all of sudden are making a loud grinding while stopping, especially as I get to coming to a full stop. A couple of newbie questions

1. I assume these are disc on the rears. Are these difficult to change as DIY?

2. Any special tools required?

I have an appointment set up next week (soonest I could get in), but I thought I may attempt over the weekend depending upon costs, special tools, difficulty level etc.
