R134a Conversion Kit from Target ($35). . .any opinions? 200 1987

I just got done with all of my fixes for the summer (new to me alloys wheels, ball joint, flex disc, tons of rust fixed, air box thermostat, etc.) I fixed a vacuum leak above the intake manifold, and now my AC runs again, but doesn't blow cold air. I'm going to check the sight glass today, but last night I found a generic R134 conversion kit at target. Any thoughts on this? If you think it will work for a few months and then leak again, will it do any permanent damage? I'd like to have AC for the trip to CO next week!

Mike
