AW-71L Behavior - is this typical? 900 1994

Now have 5 months and a few 1000mi on the 944(non-turbo) and I'm puzzled by the trans. Fluid has been flushed and renewed with no noticeable change in the behavior. First - rather hard 1-2 upshift and it comes at low revs..unless you get the gas pedal down pretty far. 2-3 and 3-4 upshifts are fairly smooth. Secondly, shift into 4th/OD occurs at low speed with apparently simultaneous torque converter lockup - no apparent delay until higher speeds are reached as in all other cars I've driven. Tach drops to about 1800 and acceleration is even more lame than the usual non-turbo Volvo effort.

Finally, when coming to a full stop, when the car is at the point where it has completely stopped rolling and you expect to see the car rebound a little from the nose-down stance, the gear lever gives a slight but noticeable lurch. Possibly bad engine &/or trans mounts...but what about the other issues?
