What Year Did Volvo Change The Plastic In 240 Dashes To Non-Crack? 200

What year did Volvo make the change to the crack-resistant plastic now used? Are there 240 dashboards and interior parts available in the non-crack type plastic? it hardly seems worth while to replace the cracked up dash and interior parts with junkyard pulls just to find them cracking again down the road in the Florida sun. Thanks in advance!
