740 Stalls on takeoff 700 1992

I have a 1992 740 Turbo Wagon that stalls on quick takeoff wether it is wet or dry but only on a warm engine. 98,000 miles on vehicle. Dealer says that intake hose/pipe on turbo is collapsing on quick acceleration. They recommend replacing the hose as a first step. That is a $240.00 hose (wow!!!) I also just had the throttle plate cleaned to improve the idle. Any guidance on this is appreciated.
