'73 164 gas leak, pt II 140-160 1973

ok, so i fixed the gas leak. it was a split hose right by the fuel filter, cust that and re clamped. now the car won't start. i assume this system is under vaccuum, and there is just an air bubble in the line from when i took off the hose. does anyone know how to take care of this? i tried the search engine, but to no avail. thanks!
