I noticed last week a strange clunk coming from the rear of my car. At first I thought it might have been brake related (not tightening the calipers enough) but that was not the case as the clunk still occurred while the brake was applied. Also was not the handbrake as I had yanked it. My reason for having eliminated these two from the equation is that I figure if everything has been engaged and is tight as is when the brakes are used, they can't be clunking.
So I'm guessing it's some sort of suspension problem OR a driveline problem (let's hope not). (I already triple checked the trunk to make sure nothing was moving around in there)
The clunk appears to happen only sometimes
It can also be heard when going over CERTAIN bumps...
Any clues where to start looking? I know this could probably be anything, but I'm just asking for clues on a starting point.
Thanks!
