Another (easier and cheaper?) one-man brake bleeding method 200

The other day I was in a NAPA and noticed replacement bleeder screws that incorporate a one-way valve. They're supposed to permanently replace the existing ones and only allow fluid out, but no air in. You're supposed to be able to install these and when you want to bleed the brakes, crack open the valve, run a hose to a jar, then pump the brake pedal a few times and you're done. A friend tells me that early VW Vans came with these. Anyone try them?
