no start, no spark...please help! 200 1991

My dad has a '91 244n he bought about a month ago. drove it yesterday, this morning it won't start. engine cranks, but won't turnover. we checked for spark at plugs. nothing. spark from ignition coil. nothing. so, we changed the coil and plugs (they needed it). still no start, no spark. are we missing somethin here? Please help!!! I've just converted him to volvos (used to swear by ford). i need to get this fixed to keep him in the camp. thanks, everyone.
