stereo wiring din cable for '91 780, color codes? 700 1991

I have lost my left front channel in the oem Alpine volvo stereo. manipulating the plug gives me front left channel. attempt to replace din plug with replacement din plug is not good. different color wires, five wires from original cable to six wires on replacement cable, with different colors. oy.
Now have five spliced wires and ground shield exposed with no way to match up to replacement cable. Stereo has two 40w amps, with remote cd changer in trunk.
sounds beautiful, when it works. any help will be appreciated. Wiring diagram for cables? thanks, fred
