Good antenna recommendation for my 745T 700 1992

Hi
The chrome antenna stopped going up and down on my 745T. I know that I can get a replacement for about $17 or so - BUT ...I was wondering if someone had used a shorter, permanent antenna - maybe black (to match my paint) - maybe with a coil in the mast (like a radio ant) - possibly with a booster inline to improve reception.

IDEAS ??
