Access to air intake to spray deodorizer 900 1995

We have a 1995 Volvo 960 Wagon. Each Summer we get a very must smell when the interior fan is engaged. We've been advised to spray OziumŪ Glycol-ized Air Sanitizer into the air intake (?).

Can anyone advise where this air intake is? Are there components that need to be removed for proper access to spray Ozium? Should the AC be on when doing this?
