Just bought a S90 sedan S90-V90 1998

I just bought this car with 69K miles. I noticed that the 2-key keychain remote only turns off the alarm system but not unlock the doors, but it will lock at times, is it possible that the battery inside of remote is weak? I also noticed that when you unlock door with key, only that door will unlock. Could this be a programming issue the previous owner had setup?
