A/C Retrofit done...how much R134 to add?? 700 1989

Have completed the OEM Volvo retrofit kit from R12 to R134 freon. Now it doesn't blow as cold as with R12. Maybe not enough R134 added?? ( techie said that 32 lbs of pressure was showing at low side). I thought the amount was set by weight. Is 35.3 oz the correct amount to add? Shall I have the system evacuated and then the correct weight of R134 added? But what is the correct amount??
