Duplicating keys 200 1988

I have disconnected the central locking from the trunk on our 88DL. He doesn't like the idea of anybody being able to clean out his trunk simply by smashing a window and unlocking the door.

We only have one key that will lock and unlock the trunk. He would like to have a spare key that will work in the door, the ignition, and the trunk. The spares I have for the car will not unlock the trunk. Is this because these keys were cut using the valet key, or are all copies going to be valet keys? Exactly what is the differenc in the keys themselves that determine valet/full access?? Thanks.
