1986 240 Auto. 179,000 miles. Recently I have lost my overdrive. I have some overdrive posts here, but please indulge me and give me your thoughts. Had one problem about a year ago, blew a fuse replaced and all was fine. Then one day recently was driving and the overdrive would not kick in at all, has been this way for about 2 weeks. The button on shifter works and dash light illuminates every time. I can hear the clicking in the dash when button is depressed. It just has no effect and when i get to the point when overdrive should kick in the engine just gets louder (stays in third) Please let me know what my next step should be. This is a good car but don't want to spend much cash on it. thanks
